Terms of Use

DocLens reads documents you upload, such as rental agreements, insurance policies and government notices, and uses automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to produce a plain-language summary, a list of possibly risky clauses, extra fees and deadlines, in English, Hindi or Marathi.

The Service gives general information only. It is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Automated analysis can be incomplete or wrong: it may miss a clause, misread a scanned page, mistranslate, or misjudge how serious something is.

Always read the original document yourself. Before you sign, pay, or act on a deadline, check important points with a qualified lawyer, the issuing authority, or your insurer. You are responsible for decisions you make.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. You may only upload documents you have the right to share, and you are responsible for any personal data of other people they contain.

• Each device or browser gets 3 free document analyses. Sample documents on the home page are always free.
• Basic: ₹49 for 20 document analyses within 30 days.
• Unlimited: ₹99 for document analyses within 30 days, subject to fair use (Section 5).
• Each plan is a one-time payment. It is not renewed or charged automatically. Unused analyses expire at the end of the 30-day period and do not carry over. Buying a plan again starts a new 30-day period.
• A document counts only when its analysis is completed. Failed analyses do not count.
• To buy a plan you sign in with Google, so the plan is linked to your account and works on any device.
• Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes. Payments are processed by Razorpay.

The Unlimited plan is for personal use by one person. Up to 100 document analyses per 30-day period are included. Above that, or if we see automated, shared, or commercial bulk use, we may pause the plan and contact you.

You agree not to:

• upload unlawful content, or documents you have no right to share;
• try to get around usage limits, for example by automating requests or resetting your device to get more free analyses;
• use bots, scrapers or scripts against the Service, or overload it;
• try to break, probe or reverse engineer the Service's security;
• resell the Service or its output as your own service without our written permission.

We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules, without refund if the breach is serious.

You keep all rights in the documents you upload. You give us permission to process them only to provide the analysis to you. How we handle them is explained in the Privacy Policy. You may use the analysis we produce for your own purposes.

We try to keep the Service running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change features or prices. Price changes apply only to purchases made after the change, never to a plan you have already paid for.

To the extent allowed by law, the Service is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the analysis. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot legally be excluded.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. Subject to that, the courts at [City] have jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, show a notice on the site. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
